FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a police certificate for Ausbildung? +
No — a police clearance is not a standard requirement for Ausbildung applications or the Ausbildungsvisum. It may be requested by specific Pflege nursing employers as part of their own HR process, but it is not required by German immigration law for the training visa.
Can I start Pflege Ausbildung at B1 German level? +
Some employers accept B1, but B2 is the standard requirement. Clinical communication in hospitals requires strong German for patient safety and Berufsschule exams. We help you build a B1→B2 language plan.
Is Ausbildung paid? How much? +
Yes. Monthly stipends: Pflege €1,100–€1,400, Hotelfachmann €700–€1,000, Koch €700–€1,050. Stipends increase each training year.
What is the Opportunity Card financial requirement in 2025? +
As of January 2025, you must show €13,092 per year (€1,091/month) via a blocked account (Sperrkonto). We partner with German banks to set this up with flexible post-employment repayment.
Do I need a job offer for the Opportunity Card? +
No — that is the key advantage. You move to Germany without a job offer, search for up to 1 year, work part-time (max. 20 hrs/week) while searching, and switch to a full work permit once you get an offer.
